FMCA Fly-In is promising to be like those held every year for the past 16 years… full of interesting and valuable information covering a wide variety of subjects important to the mosquito control aerial application industry… but most importantly an opportunity to view and discuss issues with other mosquito control aerial application professionals.
Subjects of relevance to be covered on the agenda for the 2017 FMCA Fly-In include:
Aerial spraying of both adulticides and larvicides in response to the outbreak of Zika virus, increased scrutiny of adulticides in the reregistration process and the possibility of “prescription applications” on the label, discussion of recent aerial spray trials, improvements through the use of modeling and other “new technologies”, changing FAA requirements, updates on the use of UAV’s in mosquito control, emergency response to natural disasters, etc.
There will also be presentations from many different programs on their aerial operations covering both routine application issues and novel approaches, as well updates from industry (equipment manufacturers, pesticide manufacturers and insurance representatives). Plus the opportunity for “open audience discussions” for the most pressing problems facing todays’ aerial application professionals. And lets not forget the always popular Wednesday morning field demonstration.
